‘House music and sneakers have always been a thing’
House music and sneakers have a long unknown, sort of unexplored history. If you go to any rave, you’d notice people with some of the most sought-after sneakers in the game. Virgil apart from being a big name in the designer world spends his nights in warehouses in NYC playing house and techno. Peggy Gou has her own fashion line.
For me personally, my love for both sneakers and house music stems from my love for dancing. These are three things I use to cope with pretty much everything in life. A bad day at work usually ends with either an impulse sneaker purchase or live DJ sessions with a handful of friends.
I think of all the side gigs one can do alongside their work, DJ-ing, while being very exhausting at times, is still the easiest to manage due to the (mostly) complementary works hours. That said, if you ever end up DJing till 6am, don’t go to work at 8am. You might end up throwing up during your meeting.
