Why Crocs are the next big thing?

Crocs x Carrots

The answer to this lies in the success of Nike Dunks. Why a 7995 INR pair costs more than 4 times its value? Nike understood this way before that the collaborations drive the value and craze/hype for sneakers and not the traditional colorways.

You take the most affordable sneaker in your portfolio and give the blueprint to creatives of the world, to see what the come up with. Dunks were the best example; they are the oldest experiment that drove the success of other Nike verticals.

Crocs on the other hand are following the same footsteps. They are one of the most used and accepted comfort wear clogs. Their demand has reached a level of acceptance which no matter what ‘pandemic’ comes; it won’t seize. They cost half the price of Nike Dunks too. So, when a company like Crocs starts a collaboration with creatives and artists like Anwar Carrots, Daily Paper, and Justin Bieber (upcoming), what do you think will happen?

VegNonVeg and Superkicks released Crocs x Carrots and Crocs x Daily Paper respectively. They were well taken but the resale market didn’t change, they got sold at retail or a few thousand bucks above retail. They are meant to be kept for some time in order to grow in value, easy flipping won’t help your investment.

They are a good investment for sure but you need to understand the idea behind it and why ‘hold’ is important for such pairs. Try to collect them all because they are easily available and in limited quantities.
